I need to practice Aikijutsu?
You
are not required to use any equipment but a good cushion mat is
recommended, like the ones used in gymnastics or martial arts studios.
- What is the
meaning of
Aikijutsu?
Aikijutsu,
also known as Aikijujutsu, is a form of self-defense. Daito-Ryu
Aikijutsu was originally developed during feudal times in Japan by the
Takeda
clan, in support of the Emperor. In modern times, the
best-known style of aikijutsu is that developed by Takeda Sokaku from
Daito-Ryu. This style was taught primarily to police
officers and the military.
- Who can
practice Aikijutsu?
I
strongly recommend only indiviuals over 16 years old to learn this
martial art because they have more control over their mind and body and
can avoid injury to themselves or to somen]one else.
- Is Aikijutsu
aplicable in
modern times as an efective self defense system?
Yes
it is, all the self defense techniques are applicable to current attack
situations although I have always recommeded agresion as the last
resource.

access to all the techniques required for Black Belt rank since the
begining?
No, the system
is design to teach you as if you attend personal lessons in a martial
arts studio so you will get access to one learning module every 30 days.
- If I already
practice another martial art, can I learn faster?
Unfortunatelly
not, the only advantage you have over someone that has never been
involved with martial arts are the basics which are covered on the
